Best Chinese Restaurant

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, now with two locations, is the readers' favorite for Best Chinese Restaurant.

Readers' Pick:
P.F. CHANG'S CHINA BISTRO
4165 Paradise Road
1095 S. Rampart Blvd.
P.F. Chang's has put an apparent stranglehold on its less-Americanized competitors with its modernist decor, chatty servers wearing denim pants and white oxford shirts, and nicely presented dishes that will likely taste strange to the relatives in Hong Kong. The Paradise Road store opened in 1997, launching four consecutive wins from our voting correspondents. The second P.F.'s -- the initials are those of restaurant founder Paul Fleming -- opened in 1999 and proved popular and accessible for Peccole Ranch residents. Panda Express finished second.

Our Pick:
FULL HO CHINESE CUISINE
240 N. Jones Blvd.
The reliable Full Ho has survived in an obscure storefront locale in one of the ugliest minimalls in the known universe because it's small and offers moderately priced dishes that often are better than high-priced hotel gourmet Asian fare. The family team has developed a dedicated following of fans for its eat-in specialties and take-home-and-watch-TV-takeout orders.
