Best Greek Restaurant

Readers' Pick:
MEDITERRANEAN CAFE & MARKET
4147 S. Maryland Parkway
Voters apparently enjoy the great Middle Eastern-styled falafel and friendly vibe created by owner Paymon Raouf, a success story himself as he arrived virtually penniless in the United States from Iran and launched his storefront operation. Imported foods from his homeland and surrounding countries was the initial draw, then word began to spread of Raouf's good falafel, a popular vegetarian sandwich tucked inside pockets of fresh pita bread. So it was no surprise when Raouf expanded into an adjacent vacant store and fashioned a patio area for al fresco munching. This marks a repeat word of thanks from loyal customers who cast more than enough votes for Raouf's operation to leave the Kitchen Cafe in second place.

Our Pick:
MEDITERRANEAN CAFE & MARKET
See above. That's because we're some of those same fans of the Mediterranean who stop in for great-tasting food whenever we find our stomachs growling on the east side of the Strip near UNLV.
