Best Tacos

Readers' Pick:
TACO BELL
Multiple locations
Oh, admit it. You wouldn't give a hoot about Taco Bell if it wasn't for that little dog. He's s-o-o-o cute, the way he looks right into the camera with those big wet eyes. And when he opens his mouth and out comes the voice of a guy talking like Cantinflas, man that is just the funniest thing ever. And when he's helping the police bust into that house ‹ stop it already! We can't get off the floor. No wonder Del Taco was a distant second.

Our Pick:
BAJA FRESH
Multiple locations
Look, if the California migration is going to bring crime, traffic and tract housing to our fair valley, it might as well bring some good fast food, too. This is one import we don't mind. The seasonings are great, the salsas -- which you can help yourself to from a salsa bar -- are to die for. One caveat: The tacos here seem a little undernourished compared to the burritos. But since we didn't offer a burrito category, we'll take some liberties.
