![]() Best Comedian![]() R-J staffers love the acerbic wit of George Carlin. DANNY GANS Rio 3700 W. Flamingo Road What can we say that hasn't been said above? Only that veteran funnyman Don Rickles placed second in this lightly voted category, and Gans probably does a decent imitation of Mr. Warmth too. Our Pick: GEORGE CARLIN Bally's 3645 Las Vegas Blvd. South It's time to quit taking Carlin for granted. He's at Bally's three or four times a year, yet it still speaks to his image that nobody thinks of him as a "Las Vegas comedian." Indeed, Carlin is blunt and brutal, dissecting much of what makes Las Vegas tick: Crass commercialism, theme restaurants, euphemisms in our language. You gotta love him. | ||
