Dancers

Readers' Pick:
"THE GREAT RADIO CITY SPECTACULAR"
Flamingo
3555 Las Vegas Blvd. South
A third straight victory in this lightly voted category throws a little recognition from Las Vegas locals to a low-profile revue that exists more by selling room-and-show packages to charter-loads of tourists. Perhaps it is a nod for the special prices charged to see the Rockettes during the holidays. Regardless, a win is a win, as well as a testimony to the show's endurance and the legacy of its namesake New York chorus line. The chorus line is a fading tradition, so any daydreams of doing the high kick probably involve either Radio City Music Hall or Las Vegas. Hence, the tie for second place between two traditional revues: Bally's "Jubilee!" and the Tropicana's "Folies Bergere."

Our Pick:
"CHICAGO -- THE MUSICAL"
Mandalay Bay
3950 Las Vegas Blvd. South
The starring leads rotated in and out of this unlikely hit that recently closed after a year at Mandalay Bay. But Ann Reinking's choreography in the style of her mentor, Bob Fosse, was always a star of the show. It speaks to the geometric power of the dancers onstage that the Strip's first full-length Broadway residency was played out on a black stage without gargantuan props.
