Best Keno

Readers' Pick:
GOLD COAST
4000 W. Flamingo Road
Every place ought to be known for something. The city's outward growth and bigger, flashier locals casinos have left the Gold Coast behind in many departments, but the hotel is known for its keno lounge, with a thinner-than-crayon one-point victory over the Fiesta. One thing that put the Gold Coast on the map was "Freeno," a fun ploy that allows you to register six numbers and win $100 to $500 -- depending on the time of day -- as long as you're on the property when you hit.

Our Pick:
THE RESERVE
777 W. Lake Mead Drive, Henderson
The generous payout schedule at The Reserve continues to impress our crayon-toting field operatives. We all know keno is basically a long-shot game. But it doesn't cost a lot, and the proportionate return on a dollar or two is huge should your lucky day arrive. Knowing the house enjoys a big edge, the house that works with you gets the loyal customers. The Reserve gives you seven days to cash out on nine games or less, and almost a year if you play 10 or more. And for the extremely unlucky, there's the lure of that "Zero Catch" game that lets you play again if none of your six numbers come up.
