Best High Tech Store

Readers' Pick:
BEST BUY
3820 S. Maryland Parkway
2050 N. Rainbow Blvd.
"They've got about a million keyboards," said the guy walking out of Best Buy, and he was right. Well, maybe he was exaggerating a little, but this superstore has tons of stuff from computers to car audio, and the furniture to hold it. There's a big selection of software, too, and CDs, plus CD listening stations if you'd like to take a little test drive. Sharper Image finished second.

Our Pick:
GOOD GUYS
Multiple locations
A bright and clean atmosphere, interactive product displays, merchandise that's hard to find anyplace else and 9 a.m.-to-midnight hours at the Wow! store on West Sahara Avenue are what's great about Good Guys. But probably the best thing is the knowledgeable salespeople: It's nice to know the dude selling you a $1,400 camcorder actually knows something about how it works.
