Best Las Vegas Souvenir

Readers' Pick:
DICE CLOCK
They're colorful, they're fun and they're quintessentially Las Vegas; Martha Stewart would never allow one in her home. No wonder readers picked the dice clock as the perfect souvenir. These fun clocks -- which come in lots of colors of fine plastic but especially those that resemble bowling balls -- have dice with the appropriate amount of dots where each number on the face of the clock would be. They're available all over town, but the Bonanza Gifts Shop at 2460 Las Vegas Blvd. South has a particularly noteworthy selection. T-shirts, which also are plentiful around town, donned second place.

Our Pick:
OSCAR GOODMAN GAMING CHIP
If you don't have one, you probably won't be able to get one easily. That just-out-of-reach aspect makes the Oscar Goodman gaming chip another appropriate souvenir of Las Vegas. The chip, which was sold in $5, $25 and $100 denominations, sold out quickly. "There may be one or two in the cage," said Mark Karoll, Four Queens senior financial analyst. "I sincerely doubt it." Karoll said that on the rare occasion a chip is cashed in at the cage, it's quickly scooped up by a collector. The limited edition won't be expanded, but he said the Four Queens "might consider a first-anniversary chip."
