The problem with most thrift stores is that they're potluck at best, catch-as-catch-can. But the various Savers stores have such an extensive selection, you actually can go in search of a particular item and have a reasonable chance of finding it. Savers stores also are organized by color and category, which makes shopping there akin to browsing a department store. Only older. Goodwill Industries placed second.

Oh, another thing about Savers we like: They buy from small groups that get sporadic donations, and then cull the selection, so you can shop there and maybe help your favorite charity, too.
