Guest Pick: Most Colorful Las VeganATTORNEY HARRY CLAIBORNE Long-timer Harry Claiborne knows the town inside and out. He has practiced law for ages, sat on the federal bench, gone through impeachment and spent nearly two years in prison for tax evasion. So when Claiborne renders a verdict about the players in town, it's worth listening to. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman is Claiborne's choice for most colorful Las Vegan. "I think there is not even a second to this man," Claiborne says of the mayor. He notes his pick has nothing to do with the fact that both men are lawyers, although Goodman has represented him. "He's the most exuberant person I ever saw in my life," Claiborne continues. "He's probably the happiest man under all circumstances. Nothing seems to make him sad or disappointed. Some may see a silver lining in every cloud. He is a guy who puts a silver lining in every cloud. "He's just charismatic. That's all there is to it." |
