Guest Pick: Best Italian Restaurant

SINGER JIMMY HOPPER

Jimmy Hopper eats healthy to protect his voice. That way, he can sing a variety of music, from Led Zeppelin to Andrea Bocelli and the Goo Goo Dolls, at the Bellagio's Fontana Room. He runs four miles a day, five to six days a week, and does 100 push-ups daily.

He usually eats the same meal at home every night: broiled skinless chicken, rice and steamed vegetables. But when he and his wife go out to eat, they often pick DiMartino's, 1000 N. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson. It's a family place that features a casual atmosphere and five-minute lines when it's busy, he says.

"All the food's really good, and it's a really family-oriented place," he says. "I'm a creature of habit. I eat the same thing. I'm one of those guys who never needs a menu."

His choice at DiMartino's is the chicken piccata with angel-hair pasta. "I love those capers and that lemon. Yes, sir."
