Guest Pick: Best Place to Play Video Games

CART DRIVER JIMMY VASSER

When CART driver and 1996 PPG Indy Car champion Jimmy Vasser wants to relax with friends, he heads down to GameWorks in the Showcase Mall, 3785 Las Vegas Blvd. South.

The variety of games and the climbing wall are GameWorks' best features, he said.

"They have a wide selection and it's got a good energy there. Plus I like to climb their climbing wall in the center," Vasser said.

Even though he drives for a living, the last thing Vasser wants to do in his free time is get behind the wheel of anything, right?

Nope. His favorite video game is "Rally GT," a racing game.

"It's good fun to pass the time," he said.
