Novelist and UNLV Professor Richard Wiley
One of the hidden secrets of Las Vegas is the fantastic Korean eatery Kimchi, says Richard Wiley, novelist and professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
"They have a wide selection of soups that leave you sweating at the end of the bowl," Wiley says.
Diners also get eight to 10 wonderful side dishes with meals, he says. The restaurant, at 3049 Las Vegas Blvd. South, No. 20, also is known for its barbecued meat. Long lines normally don't form unless there's a trade show in town. And it's open until late at night.
"My wife and I go in there and order three things, instead of two, and get out of there for 40 bucks," Wiley says. "It's not elegant. It's to go in, and eat, and sweat."
