From the overstuffed velvet couches to the perennially percolating fire pool, the lava-lamp aesthetic reigns supreme. And with a few of the Peppermill's signature cocktails coursing through your bloodstream, even the leisure suits and hot pants look mighty fine. A newer and supposedly hotter haunt, Palms’ lofty ghostbar, floated into a distant second place.
