In a down-to-the wire race between horse power and horsepower, the NFR beats NASCAR, last year's winner, by a solitary vote, proving that, after 18 go-rounds, rodeo's premier event still rates a tip of the ol’ Stetson. Unlike most world championships that showcase pampered pros, this one salutes the real deal: hard-riding, hard-traveling hands who work a grueling circuit to earn a chance at a championship buckle. Sure, they collect a hefty chunk of change to go along with it, but watching these rodeo pros, you know most of them ride for pride as well as prize money.
