Best Use of Las Vegas in TV or Movies -- Reader's Pick

"CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION"
winner of Best Use of Las Vegas in TV or Movies in the Reader's poll.

Sure, they show up in Las Vegas only four or five times a year, filming most of the show in Southern California. But when "CSI" does come to town, the crime-busting crew of TV's top-rated drama makes every minute count, bouncing from the Strip to Glitter Gulch to dusty patches of desert in pursuit of telltale evidence to trap the fiend of the week. Adding to the down-home atmosphere: offhand mentions of such Southern Nevada landmarks as Nellis Air Force Base and Sunset Park, courtesy of Anthony E. Zuiker, "CSI" creator and executive producer, who's been a Vegas resident since the tender age of 6 months. It's no wonder the CBS show swamped last year's winner, "Ocean's Eleven," to capture this title by a tidal wave.
