Tucked behind Bally's a block east of the Strip, Ellis Island is the reigning favorite among amateur divas and crooners who just missed that "American Idol" audition. The mike is open every night from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., and here's a word to the shy: Don't be surprised to find a packed room. The singers also serve as entertainment for the diners in the adjoining restaurant. Boulder Station came in second.
