Allegiant unveils five routes between Western U.S.-Hawaii

Allegiant Travel Co. has unveiled five more routes as part of its nascent service between Western states and Hawaii.

Between Nov. 14 and 18, Allegiant Travel, which operates Allegiant Air, will launch flights between Honolulu and Stockton, Calif., Santa Maria, Calif., Bellingham, Wash., and Eugene, Ore., and between Kahului Airport on the island of Maui and Bellingham.

In keeping with Allegiant's typical practice, the service will run once or twice a week.

This comes on top of the already announced flights between Hawaii and Las Vegas and Fresno, Calif., due to begin in late June.

All told, this would give Allegiant a dozen nonstops a week to Hawaii. Allegiant is a small player in the Hawaiian market but going to cities that, with the exception of Las Vegas, do not have direct service. By contrast, Hawaiian Airlines now has 19 flights a week from Las Vegas alone.
