IGT selects new slot machine executive

International Game Technology on Tuesday named Ken Bossingham to oversee global management of the company's slot machine division.

Bossingham, who will be IGT's senior vice president of casino core product, will be based in Las Vegas. He will be responsible for development and sales of all classes of IGT's slot machines, including games shipped to commercial casinos, Indian casinos and various product lines.

Bossingham was most recently chief operating officer for American Gaming Systems, a slot machine company recently purchased by private equity firm Apollo Global Management. He previously held executive positions with slot machine makers Spielo International and Atronic Gaming.

IGT is headquartered in London. The company is the result of the $6.4 billion merger between lottery systems giant GTECH Holdings and IGT, which was completed in April.
