MGM Resorts taps new president for The Mirage

MGM Resorts International on Thursday named Trevor Scherrer as president of The Mirage.

Scherrer, who has 25 years experience in the gaming industry, was most recently executive vice president of operations for The Mirage.

Scherrer has also held executive level positions the MGM Resorts corporate offices, at the Golden Nugget and the Bellagio.

MGM Resorts Chief Operating Officer Corey Sanders said Scherrer will over enhancements expected to take place this year at The Mirage, including a new restaurant, updates to the main marquee and full remodel of the casino floor.

Scherrer replaces Felix Rappaport, who resigned in December.
