Barclaycard US held an event that included speakers, a ribbon-cutting and media tours on Thursday to mark its expansion in Southern Nevada.
The exansion is into an adjacent 35,000-square-foot building at 2290 Corporate Circle in Henderson, which will include the hiring of 300 more positions. It comes less than two years after Barclaycard opened its doors in the former Zappos building. Since opening, Barclaycard has hired about 1,000 local employees.
In a statement, the company said it has hired and continues to hire local people to fill multiple jobs at its customer contact center.It was recognized as "Economic Development Project of the Year" in Henderson by The city of Henderson and the Henderson Chamber of Commerce during Henderson's "15th Annual Economic Development and Small Business Awards."
