Home Depot to hire 600 seasonal workers in Las Vegas

The Home Depot has to plans to hire an estimated 600 people in the Las Vegas area.

The company needs to fill more than 80,000 seasonal positions to assist customers during the its busiest selling season - spring. Because of expected sales growth in 2013, Home Depot is hiring 10,000 more associates this spring than last.

The Home Depot recently launched its Online Military Skills Translator for returning military and veterans. The program is designed to help translate and match an applicant's military skills with positions that might offer the best fit. The store has also partnered with military-focused career fairs and will participate in events throughout 2013.
