With a new partnership in the works, Las Vegas is setting itself apart.
At the Tuesday Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority board of directors meeting, R&R Partners presented its annual marketing plan. During his presentation, CEO and Principal Billy Vassiliadis talked about R&R Partners’ work with Google to feature the inside of Las Vegas hotels on Google Interiors.
R&R is working with local hotels to create the content that will eventually be viewable by any interested tourist who wants to check out all possible hotel options from the inside, online.

“Developing this content is the most critical thing we can do,” Vassiliadis said.
During R&R’s year-end review and fiscal year 2014 outlook, the marketing guru also noted that the firm plans to have at least one Vegas-related television spot air each week of the year.
“TV’s still a critical component of our marketing component,” Vassiliadis said.
In fiscal 2013 the firm created the ecommerce site, lasvegas.com, to help visitors plan and book their trip. This year R&R will continue to focus on the site, with enhancements and further streamlining to come. As part of a branding campaign for the site, the character Mr. Lasvegas.com was created, drawing attention to the domain through commercial spots.
R&R will be looking to The Linq project and coming developments for new subjects to discuss in campaigns and placement opportunities, although “What Happens Here Stays Here” will still be a focus. The firm held focus groups this year and the slogan still resonates with the general public.
Vassiliadis said R&R is evaluating post-recession attitudes and is always determining what the next step will be. The firm has a contract with the convention authority through June 30, 2015.
