Improvements planned for Las Vegas Mob Experience

With new ownership in place, the Las Vegas Mob Experience announced Friday that it will significantly upgrade the attraction.

The museum that houses the artifacts will remain open while upgrades are being made to the "experience" portion of the attraction, officials said in a statement.

The technology upgrades will begin Monday ; an announcement about a completion date will follow soon after, Mob Experience officials said in the statement. Technology aspects and audio/visual effects within the attraction will be upgraded, as will sets and scenes within, they added.

The Mob Experience features mob artifacts and memorabilia including personal items, photos and videos belonging to Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, Meyer Lansky, Sam Giancana, Tony Spilotro, Charles "Lucky" Luciano, Mickey Cohen and many others.
