An offer it can't refuse: Mob Attraction's Tropicana lease up Nov. 3

The Mob Attraction, which mixes organized crime mementos with actors who portray shady characters, will close when its lease at the Tropicana ends on Nov. 3.

According to spokesman Spence Johnston, the attraction does not have a new home lined up even though the lease expiration has been known for months. He said, however, talks are under way at other, unidentified locations.

The attraction, originally called the Mob Experience, opened in March 2011 but filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy a few months later. Last year, it was brought out of bankruptcy by one of the investors who claims to have operated at a profit, but who did not disclose figures.

In a statement, Johnston said promoters want to open versions in other cities with Las Vegas continuing as the flagship, even though it currently has no home here.
