Enterprise Rent-A-Car became the first major rental company to carry motorcycles on Thursday, in a pilot program at its Las Vegas neighborhood location on 4517 W. Flamingo Rd.
Until now, motorcycle rental has been a specialty confined to independent places much smaller than the likes of Hertz or Enterprise, appealing to people who want to unleash in the desert their inner Easy Rider. Car rental companies have increasingly marketed luxury or even exotic vehicles in recent years, but nothing with just two wheels.
Enterprise will rent Harley-Davidsons for $149 a day, not including sales tax. If the experiment works, Enterprise said it would expand the program to other locations.
