Not all Vegas-area Wal-marts will have 24-hour shopping

Nearly a dozen Wal-mart stores throughout the Las Vegas Valley will be closing at midnight from now on, the company said Thursday.

"We are constantly reviewing our business to determine operations decisions at our stores. Based on a recent review of our customers' shopping patterns we have made the decision to adjust hours at some of our stores," the company said in a statement. "This is the kind of decision we make on a store by store basis and will allow us the ability to reallocate resources to serve our customers during peak shopping hours."

There are stores in areas around the country that have moved away from 24-hour operations, and the company makes these decisions on a store-by-store basis. A company spokesman said some of the 30 locations in the Las Vegas Valley already didn't operate 24 hours a day, but he could not specifically say which ones.

The following locations will now be open from 6 a.m. to midnight:

7445 S. Eastern Ave.

6005 S. Eastern Ave.

3615 S. Rainbow Blvd.

1807 W. Craig Road

2310 E. Serene Ave.

4350 N. Nellis Blvd.

5198 Boulder Highway

4505 W. Charleston Blvd.

3950 W. Lake Mead Blvd.

3075 E. Tropicana Ave.

5200 S. Fort Apache Road
