by Mike Miller
Big Springs at The Meadows. This natural spring served local Paiute tribes for hundreds of years, became a watering hole for Spanish Trail pathfinders and travellers, was diverted for irrigation by the first farmers and settlers and finally became a much needed commodity for the railroad in 1905.
