Got $70 million? Wayne Newton’s former home can be yours

Holy moly, Wayne Newton wants $70 million for his sprawling Casa de Shenandoah home. The listing for Newton’s incredible 36-acre spectacular of peacocks and waterfalls just hit the market.

Look at that plane.

Look at that zoo.

Honestly, it’s everything you could ever imagine owning in a typically traditional Vegas spread.

The house, on East Sunset and South Pecos roads near Sunset Park, has been through a lot. Newton moved into it in the 1960s, then he wanted to turn it into a Wayner museum, but there was a legal fallout, and bankruptcy.

But $70 million?

KANYE-KIM-KIMYE TIME

The Star tabloid reported that Kanye West wants a “cheesy” Elvis wedding in a Vegas chapel with Kim Kardashian.

This wedding tale raises red flags to my suspicious mind, and neither West nor Kardashian has commented on it.

But assuming it’s true, tell me: Who is the best “Elvis” in Vegas for this gig? Let me know in this story’s comments section online. I think Nicolas Cage could conduct the ceremony in Elvis garb. He likes that kind of thing, right?

West will perform at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Oct. 25. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday for $59-$111. Kanye’s tour press release says:

“KANYE TO BE JOINED BY A SPECIAL GUEST TO BE ANNOUNCED.”

Is that special guest going to be an Elvis tribute artist who can perform weddings onstage? Let’s start that dumb rumor … now.

STARS’ EATING HABITS, FOR FOODIES

Cage and wife Alice Kim had lunch Saturday with Luxor headliner Carrot Top and his girlfriend at Chef Carlos Buscaglia’s Due Forni in Town Center. They shared a bottle of Brunnello do Montalcino while eating Roman and Neapolitan Margherita pizzas, wild boar and smoked pork belly meatballs, plus Stracciatella with prosciutto San Daniele and basil pesto, followed by chocolate pizza, peanut butter panna cotta and Nonino Amaro liqueur on the rocks.

Palms headliner Bill Maher took five friends to STK restaurant Friday. He began with tea, then moved to Veuve Clicquot Champagne, a shellfish platter, a 24-ounce Porterhouse steak and roasted dover sole.

Taylor Hicks and a friend grabbed a bite while watching football games Sunday at Carmine’s at Caesars.

EAT THIS

Vegas Krispy Kreme locations will give away free doughnuts Sept. 19 during “Talk Like a Pirate Day.”

That is going to be a lot of “Arrgh.”

You get a dozen glazed doughnuts free if you walk in with three pirate items, such as an eye patch, bandana, fluffy white pirate shirt and gold earrings.

I know this isn’t an entertainment story, but I love doughnuts.

ELTON TO LIBERACE

Elton John will perform a tribute to Liberace at the next Emmy Awards, Sept. 22.
