Guns N’ Roses could have some surprises in store

Today, we ran a feature on Guns N’ Roses’ return to The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel for their second residency at the venue.

Now, we have a sneak peek at what may be the set list.

On Tuesday in Bethlehem, Pa., Guns performed the first of two shows they’re playing prior to their Las Vegas stint (tonight, they’re headlining the Rock on the Range festival in Columbus, Ohio).

While guitarist DJ Ashba stated in our interview with him that the band mixes the set list up from night to night, generally speaking they tend to play material from the same pool of songs on a given tour, and so while the order of the songs may change, for the most part, the song selection itself doesn’t.

With this in mind, the Bethlehem show should be an indication of what GNR fans can expect at the band’s Las Vegas concerts.

Any surprises?

Not so much in what Guns N’ Roses songs the band chose to play, but there are some interesting covers, namely The Who’s “Seeker,” which they encored with the New York Dolls’ “Chatterbox,” which bassist Tommy Stinson sang, and Led Zeppelin’s “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You,” a portion of which the band played during a jam session later in the show.

Find out how closely the band sticks to this set list when they hit The Joint on Wednesday.
