Report: Las Vegas Sands considers special dividend payment to shareholders


Las Vegas Sands Corp. may consider a special dividend payment to shareholders, which would reap a billion dollar payday to company chairman Sheldon Adelson. 

Bloomberg News reported Saturday Las Vegas Sands’ board may vote on the special dividend later this month. 

In December, the company paid stockholders a special $2.75 per share dividend. Adelson, 79, who owns 52 percent of the company, collected $1.62 billion.
