It isn’t often I ask for money -- other than from my relatives.
But on Thursday morning I implore you give me some bucks.
I’ll be part of the Review-Journal’s “Pink Newspaper Day” to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure of Southern Nevada.
Tons of local entertainers and a few columnists from the R-J will be around town selling Thursday’s edition of the R-J that will be printed in pink.
All proceeds from retail sales that day will go to Komen to help with breast cancer research, treatment and awareness.
I’ll be at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on the south side of West Lake Mead Boulevard just east of North Tenaya Boulevard. I’ll be there from 7:30-9 a.m. and my buddy Mayor Oscar Goodman will join me from 8-8:30 a.m.
My late mother was a breast cancer survivor and several friends have survived as well.

Think pink on Thursday.
