The Nevada Appeal is reporting that Rep. Trent Franks, R-Ariz., has acknowledged he was wrong to allege that Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., backs a railroad from Disneyland to the Moonlite Bunny Ranch brothel.
Through a spokeswoman, Franks admitted he was mixing up two different rail projects supported by Reid: a magnetic levitation line from Anaheim, Calif., to Las Vegas, and a tourist railroad from Carson City to Virginia City that would go through Mound House, where the brothel is located.
Franks had railed against the supposed proposal on Fox News as an example of wasteful government.
