R&R Partners makes former Jesse Ventura organizer director of government and public affairs

The advertising and government affairs firm R&R Partners issued this statement today, naming Neal Levine to the new position:

"Neal Levine has been named to the new position of director of government and public affairs at Las Vegas-based R&R Partners.

"His work as part of R&R’s five state GPA team gives our clients the ability to quickly organize and effect change in a smart, cost effective manner. As an innovative campaign strategist, he has managed and won tough statewide initiatives by blowout margins with marginal budgets. Prior to joining R&R, Neal served as director of state campaigns and state policies for the Marijuana Policy Project (MPP), which works to reform U.S. marijuana laws. In this role, Neal acted as primary strategist, manager and spokesperson for local and state ballot initiatives as well as state-level lobbying campaigns. He delivered impressive results, passing six new laws in six different states in less than six years; winning three statewide ballot initiative campaigns; and managing or consulting on dozens of local campaigns -- racking up a winning percentage of over 90%. Neal started his political career as a field organizer for one of U.S. history’s most impressive political feats, the election of Reform Party candidate Jesse Ventura as the governor of Minnesota. Directly following the Ventura victory, he was elected as a Reform Party officer and quickly ascended through the party ranks."
