Quote of the day: "There has never been in a situation in my lifetime where a guy increases the debt by 40%, GDP growth is on the way down, Food Stamps are up, millions more are unemployed -- and to accomplish this we spent $4 trillion."
Read more here. But be warned, this story ticks off the mass layoffs in the job market this summer and those yet to come. It runs completely counter to the Obama Administration's spin of the "Summer of Recovery" (remember that 2010 election-based whopper?). And if you are one of the few (I'm talkin' to you, Nevada media) who still allow Harry Reid to go unchallenged when he says his federally subsidized "green" energy projects in Nevada are helping, then this story is worth remembering.
Obama's economic policies have largely failed. They are not policies that simply have yet to work because President Bush left the country in worse shape than Obama could possibly know. Obama knew exactly what the country faced when he asked for the job. He said he was the answer ... and voters believed in him.
And that goes for Sen. Reid, too. He said his handouts of federal taxpayer money for "green" energy projects were an answer to this economic woe. Yet, not only has the economy worsened (especially for Nevada), his "green" projects have demonstrated zero chance of marketplace success without the renewal of more federal "green."
"Green" energy? "Green" for whom? And, how do you get on that "green" list?
