The TV show "The Bible" on the History Channel ran into some controversy Sunday when viewers thought that Satan looked a lot like President Barack Obama.
That spot of debate is what it is. It's interesting, I suppose, but it is not what caught my eye. In the story, "The Bible" is reported to have 13.1 million viewers, topping "American Idol." Hollywood calls it a "surprise."
A surprise? When is Hollywood going to learn that Christian-themed art does pretty darn well most of the time. And until Hollywood can figure out why their version of Christianity -- which is perverted a good bit of the time -- fails to find an audience, I'm afraid work such as "The Bible" will always be a "surprise."
