Seven football recruits arrive at UNLV


UNLV's football team welcomes at least seven recruits to campus this weekend.

Here they are listed alphabetically:

Offensive lineman Chris Aye (6 feet 4 inches, 285 pounds), Cypress Ridge High School, Houston. Made the all-district team.

Running back Kani Benoit (5-11, 175), Thunderbird High, Phoenix. Rushed for 2,260 yards and 36 touchdowns last season. Fox Sports/Scout.com three-star recruit, ranked No. 104 nationally at his position. Reportedly has visited Colorado State and Wyoming. Also has scholarship offers from New Mexico, Utah State and Toledo.

Linebacker Nicolai Bornand (6-3, 230), Dos Pueblos High, Goleta, Calif. Most Valuable Player in his league and county. Also a kicker who made eight field goals and 26 extra points.

Wide receiver Devonte Boyd (6-2, 180), Basic High. Committed to UNLV. Caught 66 passes for 1,081 yards and 18 touchdowns last season.

Cornerback Damon Collins (6-0, 180), Diablo Valley College, Pleasant Hill, Calif. Intercepted three passes, returning two for touchdowns. Also made 25 tackles.

Quarterback Connor Feist (6-2, 200), Langham Creek High, Houston. Passed for 3,251 yards and 27 touchdowns, with eight interceptions, last season. Also rushed for 257 yards and 11 TDs. Scout.com two-star prospect and the nation's No. 129 quarterback.

Running back Donnel Pumphrey (5-9, 170), Canyon Springs High. Committed to San Diego State. Yahoo! Sports/Rivals.com three-star prospect and Nevada's No. 4 overall recruit. Scout.com two-star recruit and nation's No. 140 back. Rushed for 1,491 yards and 18 touchdowns last season.
