PETS CHRISTMAS EDITION: Readers send in photos of their festive animals

Readers have submitted hundreds of entries to the View’s pets section. Because we only can feature a few photos each week in the newspaper, we decided to expand the sharing online. We hope you enjoy these Christmas-edition photos. Happy holidays.

Rhonda McMeans of Las Vegas shared this photo of her dog, Elvis, kissing Santa Claus. “Elvis is a therapy dog for the foundation Those Left Behind, a nonprofit organization. ... He visits sick children and also visits nursing homes.”

“This is my nephew and little Chihuahua, Buddy,” wrote Dara Asuncion of Las Vegas. “He is ready for Christmas and Santa to arrive. He’s also been a good boy all year.”

“Since my husband and I are spending our first winter at  our condo in Las Vegas, and since we always put a photo of our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, D.B. Cooper, on our Christmas card, we thought this year we’d let our friends back east see how D. B. Cooper is enjoying his Vegas experience,” wrote Alice and Jack Magrane.

“This is a picture of our English bulldog, Bob,” wrote Mary Abbott of Las Vegas. “He was caught wearing his Santa hat saying, ‘Ha! Ha! Ha!’ instead of ‘Ho! Ho! Ho!’ He is always clowning around! Merry Christmas!”

“These are my twins Hank and Bob,” wrote Kelly Cole of Henderson. “They love helping decorate for the holidays. ... Yeah right — they know there’s a treat in it for them ’cause they’re so darn cute!”

“We opened up our Christmas present and what did we find? Corky!” wrote Bill and Barbara Judy of Las Vegas.

Stephanie Woodside of Las Vegas shared this photo of Wickey Claus and his sister, Winda Claus. “I was lucky enough to have them adopt me as their mommy.”
