Open House May 22 to Honor Superintendent Brian Cram . . .

The public are invited to an open house Monday, May 22, in honor of Superintendent Cram before he retires. The reception will be held from 3 pm to 7 pm at Desert Pines High School, 3800 Harris Avenue (at Sandhill between Bonanza and Washington). The open house is co-hosted by the Chamber of Commerce and CCSD.
     Dr. Cram is retiring from CCSD this July after 35 years, including 11 years as superintendent. During his years with the district, he was a teacher, assistance principal of Clark HS, superintendent of intermediate education, and principal of Western HS. A native Nevadan, Dr. Cram was educated in Las Vegas public schools and graduated from Las Vegas HS.

Mrs. LaCombe, Nevada PTA Outstanding Support Staff Member Nominee

In addition to listing some of Mrs. LaCombe's programs and contributions to our school, Hoggard PTSA's nomination stated:
     "She exudes warmth and caring and is truly committed to improving our community. There is not enough room on a single page to list all of Mrs. LaCombe's contributions. Her dedication to our school and community over the past several years is awe-inspiring. She is truly a remarkable person and deserves to be recognized for her tremendous commitment."
