M.A.S.H. Village Crisis Intervention Center
M.A.S.H. (Mobile assistance & Shelter for the Homeless) is a community-based one-stop crisis intervention center for our neighbors who are homeless or are "at risk" of becoming homeless. There are no easy solutions to homelessness because people become homeless for any number of reasons. The homeless of Southern Nevada come from all social backgrounds, races, and economic situations. They are single men and women, children, single-parent and intact families, senior citizens and armed forces veterans.
Tipper Gore, wife of Vice President Al Gore, starts a two-day visit to Las Vegas on May 22, 1996, with a trip to the M.A.S.H. Village, a homeless shelter. Gore received enthusiastic applause from 2-year-old Teaira Davis, who has lived at the shelter with her single mom for a few months.

Comprehensive, Personalized, Assistance Makes the Difference
Each individual or family entering the M.A.S.H. program will have a unique set of circumstances in need of intervention. The M.A.S.H. program is designed to provide much more than a quick-fix. With it's network of social services, the M.A.S.H. Crisis Intervention Center is an important link in Southern Nevada's Continuum of Care for the homeless and at-risk individuals and families. Upon entering the M.A.S.H. Crisis Intervention Center, clients are interviewed by Case Managers who assess their needs. Depending upon those specific needs, clients are then referred to appropriate on-site and off-site agencies. Because M.A.S.H. effectively networks with public, private and non-profit agencies located in the community, clients receive immediate and comprehensive assistance that addresses their specific needs through referral to any of the following agencies available on site:
