Nevada's Rainbow Assemblies
There are 15 assemblies located throughout the Silver State of Nevada. From the Biggest Little City in the World to the bright lights of Las Vegas, Nevada Rainbow Girls devote themselves to a life of service. They donate their time & energy to many worthwhile organizations such as the Shriner's Children Hospital, Candlelighters, Make-A-Wish Foundation, American Heart Association, Ronald McDonald House, and Angel Tree. In 1999, our statewide service project is the March of Dimes, which is an organization designed to help prevent birth defects.
Although the girls have fun at their service and fund-raising activities, they also plan some events specifically for their own entertainment. Some fun activities include ice cream socials, slumber parties, ice skating, picnics, trips to theme parks, pool parties, and traveling throughout the state to visit our sister assemblies.
The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is not a religion nor a cult. It is a youth organization founded in 1922 by Reverend W. Mark Sexon, a Master Mason. He designed this organization to promote self esteem, leadership skills and service to humanity.
If you or someone you know is a girl between the ages of 11 and 20 and are interested in joining Rainbow or would like further information, please e-mail nevrainbow@aol.com or an assembly located in your area.
