Sept. 6: Festival In The Pines at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

October 5: Meet The Mountain Car Tour. Destination will be determined by weather, but will, most likely, involve a "Fall Color" viewing. Meet at the Blue Diamond Saloon at 9:30 am. Be sure to call 896-7213 to reserve a seat or offer a ride; last MTM we were short on space, so don't take a chance on being left behind!

October 15: Newsletter articles due. Please submit articles on disk to the SMA P.O. Box or e-mail with attachments to smanv@yahoo.com. As a last resort, fax in the evenings to 896-7213. (Call before faxing so we can turn on the computer to accept your fax.) If none of the above is suitable, mail the hard copy, ideally using Times New Roman or Courier 12 pt, no style, to the SMA P. O. Box so we can scan it in.

October 25: Seed collection for "Make A Difference" day combined with our Annual Meeting. You will receive a postcard mailing announcing place and time.

December 20: Smokey's Winter Holiday at the new Mt. Charleston Alpine Village complex.
