PRESIDENT'S CORNER

Hello, my name is Patricia Scaggs and I have been elected as the Spring Mountains Association (SMA) President. At this time I like to welcome aboard the new Officers and Board Members. The new Officers are Pat Fitzgibbons, Vice President, and John O'Donnell, Secretary. The new Board Members are: Fred Arth, Barb Henderson, and Mark Vranesh.

I would like to also express my appreciation to the former Officers and Board Members. Former Officers were Bobbye Fitzgibbons, President, and Charles Washington, Secretary. The Former Board Member was Jack Borden. Bobbye, Charles, and Jack are still very active in the club. Bobbye will be helping me as an advisor while I find my feet. Charles is our Editor for the Echo and is also a Board Member. Jack is still the Volunteer Coordinator for the Visitor Center in Kyle Canyon.

I am looking forward to this year's activities and the challenges that will meet us as the Valley grows and we as members of SMA try to educate the population about the Spring Mountains Range.

(Editor's Note: As we go to press, Tricia Scaggs is in the hospital, facing surgery. We hope that by the time you read this, she will be home and doing well. All our best wishes go out to her. If you would like to send her a card, please send it to the SMA P.O. Box, and I will see that she gets it.)
