May 15: Board meeting for the SMA & Festival In The Pines. We need your help for a successful event. Call Bobbye Fitzgibbons at 382-2721 or Charles Washington at 896-7213 for more information.

May 17: Plant-A-Pine at Kyle Canyon 10 a.m. (Come Early), and review Fletcher Canyon Trail for a possible interpretive trail brochure. Meet at 2:00 p.m. at the trail head which is very near the campground. The SMA is promoting this site for a signed interpretive area. However, until the permits are available for that project, we will be producing a brochure pointing out the flora, geological and historical aspects of the trail. Members of interested groups will be invited to join us.

May 31: Meet-The-Mountain - Lucky Strike Mine & Canyon. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the "Park and Ride" on Hwy. 95, north of the Sante Fe. Call 896-7213 to reserve a place.

June(ish): Quarterly General Membership Meeting; date, time and place TBA. Call Bobbye Fitzgibbons with suggestions!

July 13: Meet-The-Mountain - Westside, Wheeler Pass, et al. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Blue Diamond Saloon, Hwy. 160. Call 896-7213 to reserve a place.

Sept. 6: Festival In The Pines at Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort and the Mt. Charleston Alpine Village, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

October(ish): Possible time for seed collection for "Make A Difference" day combined with our Annual Meeting.

December 20: Smokey's Winter Holiday at the new Mt. Charleston Alpine Village complex.
