Youth Ice Hockey
The Flames

The team celebrates after winning the 98 Mite (Ages 5-9) House Team Southern Nevada Classic at the Thomas and Mack.

Coach Jason Altchek, left, accepts the trophy for the 98 Mite House Team Southern Nevada Classic being presented Mike Penovich, the coaches coordinator.

This league has been here in Las Vegas since 1993, yes ICE HOCKEY in the desert. We are a non-profit league called the Flames, which teaches the sport of Ice Hockey to all ages.

Sanctioned by USA Hockey we only use licensed coaches who volunteer their time for the kids. The league offers developmental through competitive levels.

We skate at two rinks, the Thomas and Mack (where the Thunder play) and the new Ice Palace.

The league also offers a Basic Skills course for all ages and abilities. This is usually done on a six-week basis. This is a great way to determine if you or your child wants to start playing ice hockey.

For further information call Mr Tom Novotny at (702) 436-2938, or Jason Altchek (702) 652-5541.
