Biggest Tourist Trap in the Reader's poll.

By a 6-to-1 margin, the Fremont Street Experience and its elaborate overhead light show beat out the Stratosphere and its elaborate tower as the biggest tourist trap in the city. The funny thing, of course, is that some people claim downtown needs help resurrecting its image and reputation. And yet, these voting readers see the Experience as a success as a tourist trap. Well, it is pretty good at being gaudy, with all those lights, the girls asking you to pull giant slot machine arms, the falling-star bands, the occasional homeless person asking for cash, the low-minimum bets, the cheap shrimp cocktails. Mmm, shrimp.
