Las Vegas City Hall winner of
Ugliest Las Vegas Building
in the Reader's poll.

400 Stewart Ave.

For years, readers have harped about Las Vegas City Hall's artwork, a $200,000 Plexiglas fiasco that haunted the building's aesthetic reputation since 1993. But some people also think the City Hall building itself oddly looks like a 1960s version of the future. We're just waiting for the day when City Hall gets a theme-facade makeover, a la New York-New York. Maybe Las Vegas City Hall could be rebuilt as an ode to some other city's City Hall. Now that would be post-irony. Second place went to the Stratosphere, a natural choice, given its obelisk grunge.
