Riviera winner of
Hotel Most Deserving of being Imploded
in the Reader's poll.

2901 Las Vegas Blvd. South

No doubt the Riviera was pretty impressive in its day. But that day has passed, and today the Riviera is just old, dingy and all-around gloomy. It's a bastion of ugly Vegas kitsch, its outdated ambience worsened by what now seems to be a total lack of theme. Nothing personal, Riviera, but the Strip has changed and, nostalgic sentiment aside, readers wouldn't miss you if you became the focal point of our next implosion party. The New Frontier came in a close second.
