Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard winner of
Longest Stoplight
in the Reader's poll.

Not to sound Pollyannish or anything, but a long stoplight doesn't have to be a negative thing. Think of all you can accomplish while waiting for the interminable green at Sahara and Decatur. Balancing the checkbook. Dialing around until you find a radio station that doesn't stink (good luck there, by the way). Shucks, you can even finish a nearly complete electric-razor shave by the time it's your turn to kick it into gear. The trick is just to make use of those wasted minutes. The intersection at Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue was your pick for second-most aggravating light.
