Fremont Street Experience winner of
Worst Place to Take Visitors
in the Reader's poll.

Why, we wonder, do you dislike this pedestrian mall/quasi-public park/marketplace/outdoor amphitheater? Perhaps, wethinks, because it has never quite lived up to its own hype. Yeah, the light show's kind of cool the first time around, but after that, the savvy visitor is more concerned with watching his/her wallet/purse to care very much. In retrospect, that whole digging-a-canal idea seems pretty neat. Mystifyingly, the Strip was your second-place pick.
